Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for over 20 years. The stories she tells of her romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love are gaining her acclaim throughout the 21st century. Swift was interested in music at an early age. She swiftly rose through in the ranks, beginning by playing roles in the theater for children and then performing before a large crowd. At the age of 11, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and next year, she took up guitar and began writing songs. Swift got the inspiration to write her own material by artists from the country genre such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was thirteen when her parents made the decision to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm and relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her energy to approaching country labels located in Nashville.
