The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at the age of 11 she had already begun creating songs. The next year she started playing the guitar. Swift had taken her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of music from the country genre, composed her original songs to reflect her feelings of alienation. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at the age of 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. The move gave Swift to spend more time courting labels for country music in Nashville.
