Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the environment. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step following her graduation with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing learning experience for me. I was unable to learn enough, didn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy and this has affected her style of cooking. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of kids facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor Burrell travels throughout the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her career. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my passion for life with people.
